> Elepha is a local-first AI memory manager and free browser extension for people who use ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, Perplexity, and other AI chats. It organizes profiles, memories, prompts, and AI context in one place, so users can use the right context when they need it.

## What Elepha Is

Elepha is a browser extension, not another AI chat. It gives users one organized place to manage the context they keep repeating across AI conversations: who they are, how they work, what they prefer, what a project is about, and which instructions an AI should know before it answers.

Most AI tools have their own memory, settings, and limits. A memory saved in ChatGPT is not automatically available in Claude. Elepha helps make that context portable.

## Key Features

- **Profiles**: Organize memories into focused profiles, such as personal, work, role-based, or project-specific profiles. Each profile holds the memories and prompts that make sense for that situation.
- **Insert to AI chat**: Where direct insertion is supported, Elepha places context into the chat input. Where it is not, copy-and-paste is always available as a fallback.
- **Prompt library**: Built-in prompts, custom prompts, and the ability to combine prompts with profile memories so the AI gets both the task and the context behind it.
- **Export and import**: Export your data to import it into another Elepha extension or keep a backup.
- **AI tool memory sync**: When an AI tool lets you edit its built-in memory, you can copy the memories from the profile you choose in Elepha and paste them there to keep the tool's memory up to date.

## Local-first by Design

Profiles, memories, and prompts stay in the browser by default. No Elepha account is required. No personal details. No credit card.

AI chats receive only the text you choose to insert or paste. They cannot read the rest of your Elepha data. Neither can the Elepha team, websites, or other browser extensions.

Elepha is free to use and will stay free. No sign-up and no credit card are required to start. Future paid features may come later, but they will be optional.
