Create one AI profile for ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini

Stop repeating the same context in every AI chat

Good AI answers depend on good context.

That context might include what you do, what you are working on, how you prefer answers, or which constraints the AI should follow.

Without a simple way to organize it, you may end up explaining the same things again in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and every new conversation.

An Elepha profile keeps that information together so you can choose the right context whenever you need it.

What an AI profile actually is

In Elepha, a profile is a named group of reusable context, such as facts, preferences, goals, and instructions, that you choose to share with an AI chat.

Each piece of saved context is called a memory. It does not need to be a long biography or a complicated set of instructions. A useful profile can contain a few clear memories that help an AI understand your situation before it answers.

You might create separate profiles for:

  • Personal preferences
  • Your work
  • A specific project
  • A client
  • A role you regularly perform
  • A subject you are studying

Keeping these areas separate helps prevent unrelated information from being added to the same conversation.

Start with one clear purpose

When you install Elepha, a Personal profile is created for you. You can use it as it is or create another profile for a more specific purpose.

To add one:

  1. Open Elepha from your browser's extensions menu or extension bar.
  2. Go to Profiles.
  3. Select Add profile.
  4. Give it a short, recognizable name such as Work, Product launch, or Spanish practice.

The best profile names make it obvious when that context will be useful.

Avoid creating one large profile for everything. If work details are not relevant to a personal question, they should not be sent together.

Add memories that improve the answer

Next, add the information you would normally repeat before asking for help.

Each memory should contain one useful fact, preference, goal, or instruction. Short, specific memories are easier to review and update than one large block of text.

Useful memories often describe:

  • Your role or background
  • The current goal of a project
  • Who the work is for
  • Important limitations
  • Your preferred tone or level of detail
  • The format you want in the answer
  • Something the AI should avoid

For example, a Product launch profile could include:

  • I manage product marketing for a small software company.
  • We are preparing a product launch with a limited budget.
  • Our audience is small businesses without a technical team.
  • Prefer clear, practical language and avoid unnecessary jargon.
  • Give the recommendation first, followed by the reasoning.
  • Use short sections and include examples I can adapt.

In Elepha, select Create memory, write the information, choose the profile it belongs to, and save it.

Do not add information just because it might be useful someday. Add it when it can meaningfully improve an answer.

Use the same profile in different AI chats

Once your memories are ready, you can insert them into supported chats or copy and paste them into other AI tools.

  1. Open ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or another AI chat.
  2. Open Elepha and select the profile you need.
  3. If Elepha detects a supported chat, select Insert to place the profile's memories in the chat input.
  4. If direct insertion is not available, copy the context in one click and paste it into the chat.
  5. Review the context, write your request underneath it, and send the message.

For the example above, your request could be:

Create a two-week launch plan for our new product. Prioritize low-cost actions and organize the plan by day.

The AI receives both the request and the relevant background, so you do not need to rebuild that context from scratch in every conversation.

Your profile is not tied to one AI provider. You decide which profile to use and where to use it.

Combine a profile with a prompt

A profile explains your context. A prompt explains the task.

Elepha lets you use built-in prompts or create your own prompts. You can use a prompt by itself or combine it with the memories from a profile.

For example, you could combine the Product launch profile with a prompt for creating a content plan, reviewing a strategy, or turning an idea into a clearer brief.

This keeps the task reusable while the selected profile provides the background that makes the result relevant to you.

Keep your profile useful over time

Context becomes less useful when it is out of date.

Review your profiles occasionally and:

  • Update goals or project details that have changed.
  • Remove memories that are no longer relevant.
  • Split a profile when it starts covering unrelated subjects.
  • Keep instructions that consistently improve the answers.

Also avoid storing passwords, access keys, financial details, or other secrets. Your Elepha data stays in your browser by default, but any context you choose to insert or paste is then handled by the AI service you send it to.

Your context stays ready and under your control

Elepha is a local-first AI Memory & Prompt Manager. Your profiles, memories, and prompts stay in your browser by default, and you do not need an account to start. Elepha does not send this data to us. When you choose to insert or paste context into an AI chat, that service receives the text you selected.

Organize your context once, keep it up to date, and choose when and where to use it.
